A Lowveld conservancy located off the R531 west of Manyeleti in similar bushveld country. There is a hippo dam which is also popular birding site. The reserve is home to all the plains game, but not elephant or lion.

Birdlife is prolific with many interesting species recorded.

The reserve has a network of roads for game drives, which bush walks, can be arranged with the camp ranger on arrival.

The camp, being small and exceptionally quiet and private, can accommodate up to 18 people and is often booked by family groups. There are no shops nearby so visitors are advised to come fully prepared for a self catering stay.

Accommodation is limited at 6 self catering cottages each with shower and kitchen. There is a camping site served by a communal facility.

Culture and Heritage

Mpumalanga's pay-off line - 'A Pioneering Spirit'- is evident in the history and heritage of the Province. Mpumalanga has played a pivotal role in the development of South Africa and beyond. From a geological perspective, it was the ripping away of Antarctica and Madagascar at the Blyde River Canyon that caused the continent to tilt, upward, ridding it of the great inland sea that is now the Highveld. Mpumalanga has the oldest rock formations known to man, providing proof beyond doubt that this is the cradle of humankind.
